Day 1 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Melbourne to Wilsons Promontory

Day 1 Arrive in Melbourne and pick up your vehicle before beginning your holiday. Depending on your interests take time to experience some of Melbourne's great attractions before driving to Wilsons Promontory. Alternatively arrive at "The Prom" early and begin exploring this internationally significant National Park.

Day 2 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Wilsons Promontory

A full day to relax and explore around Wilson's Promonotory. Relax and Swim at Norman Beach, Run your fingers and toes through the incredibly fine sand of the aptly named Squeaky Beach. Based on your interests and fitness you have the opportunity to explore the Prom's stunning scenery on some of the over 80km of well marking walking tracks. (Lots of great short walks near the Tidal River Campground).

Day 3 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Wilsons Promontory to Phillip Island

Day 3 Depart Wilsons Promonotory and drive to Phillip Island at whatever time of day suits.Your departure time will depend on which attractions you want to experience from these two locations and along the way. On the way to Phillip Island you have the option to detour to Agnes Falls (Victorias Highest waterfall), the stunning rainforest at Tarra Bulga and the great towns and stops along the coast to Phillip Island. When planning your day don't forget the sunset penguin parade at Phillip Island.

Day 4 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsula (Sorrento)

From Phillip Island drive back out and around Westernport Bay to the fabulous Mornington Peninsula. Depending on your interests be inspired by outstanding regional wines and abundant local produce. There are more than 50 cellar doors, and the Peninsula’s coastal and country villages are host to a number of outstanding eateries. If your interested in golf the Mornington Peninsula is blessed with some of the world’s best natural golfing terrain and hosts 4 of Australia's top 10 public courses. With so mush to distract you, you could be forgiven for ignoring the main reason people visit the Peninsula which is to experience the beaches, bays and the great rugged coastal walks along the Mornington Peninsula National Park.

Day 5 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Mornington or Catch the Ferry to Queenscliff / Geelong

A relaxing day with minimal driving at the midpoint of your holiday to stay around the Mornington Peninsula all day or you can cross over on the Car Ferry to Queenscliff and explore Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula at whatever time of day suits. Your choice will depend on your specific interests.
Spend the day around the Mornington Peninsula if you are enjoying the the stunning views and beaches. Take up a round of golf or take a cruise in search of the local seals and dolphins. Sorrento and Portsea are the playgrounds and holiday homes of Melbournes rich and elite. Alternatively cross the bay on the car ferry to explore some of the great attractions and unique scenery around Queenscliff, Geelong and the surrounding Bellarine Peninsula. (Please note Ferry Crossing not included in your package).

Day 6 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Great Ocean Road - as far as Lorne or Apollo Bay

Depending on where you stayed the night before, (Mornington Peninsula or Queenscliff) start you day with a ferry crossing or begin exploring one of Australia's best coastal drives. The beaches between Torquay and Lorne on the Great Ocean Road are some of the best known surf breaks and beaches in Australia - iconic places and villages that help define the country's famous sun, sea and sand reputation for the rest of the world. Beyond Lorne the drive starts to get really spectacular. Perched above the ocean on one side and lush vegetation on the other, the Angahook State park offers a great contrast to the stunning beaches and surf breaks with its great waterfalls and walks.

Day 7 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Lorne / Apollo Bay to Warrnambool

Day 7 has you travelling along a section of the Great Ocean Road commonly refered to as the Shipwreck coast. With shipwreck relics and tales of sea rescuelocated against imposing backdrops of rugged cliffs and rocky sentinels. Experience the famous Twelve Apostles Marine National Park and some of the most spectacular bushland in Victoria at the Otway National Park. Today famously intertwines pristine natural beauty and fascinating heritage.

Day 8 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Warrnambool to Grampians

Spend time whale watching (in Season) and exploring the maritime history at Warrnambool or relax on its clean and sheltered beaches, before heading north to Halls Gap and the Grampians. Along the way you have the option to visit the volcanic plains that stretch north to Ararat, the natural splendour of Mount Eccles National Park and its Lava Caves or the historic and prosporous pastoral towns of Western Victoria. Arrive early into the Grampians and Halls Gap if you want to maximise your time exploring this great National Park.

Day 9 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Grampians

A full day to explore the jagged peaks, cliffs and rugged slopes that make the Grampians one of Victoria's Great National Parks. The saw toothed sandstones ranges rise from the plains of Western Victoria to form a dramatic end to the Great Dividing Range, which starts thousands of kilometres away in Northern Queensland. A great network of roads and walks puts you in easy reach of diverse natural attractions such as scenic lookouts, waterfalls and rock formations.Opportunities abound to hike, climb a mountain, go fishing, boating, explore ancient volcanoes, trawl through heritage towns, sample fine wines, acquaint yourself with indigenous Australia or just smell the wildflowers.

Day 10 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Grampians to Melbourne (via Victorias Goldfields)

Depending on when and how you are departing Melbourne, a relaxing day driving back to Melbourne with the opportunity to stop and explore some of the great attraction and towns of Victoria's Goldfields. Explore the impressive Victorian streetscapes of Ballarat with its grand hotels and public buildings and learn about the gold rush at one of Victoria's best historic attractions. Sovereign Hill & The Eureka Centre offer a fascinating insight into life above & below the ground during the 1850s & 1860s. Alternatively arrive early into Melbourne to explore more of Melbournes culture and attractions.
